Dame Edith Lyons

Dame Edith Lyons (1890-1981) was an Australian politician and the first woman to be elected to the Australian House of Representatives. She represented the Division of Darwin (Tasmania) from 1943 to 1951. Although born in Tasmania, Dame Edith Lyons spent a significant portion of her early life in Cabonne, New South Wales.

Peter Scott

Peter Scott (1926-2007) was an Australian rugby league footballer who played for the St. George Dragons in the New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) competition. During his career, Scott won a record seven Premiership titles for the club, playing from 1948 to 1959. He was born in Canowindra, a town located in the Cabonne region of New South Wales.

Pat Zacharias

Pat Zacharias (born 1960) is an Australian former cricketer who played first-class cricket for New South Wales and Western Australia. He represented New South Wales in the Sheffield Shield competition from 1983 to 1990. Zacharias was born in Molong, a town situated in Cabonne, New South Wales.

Reg Oliver
